Many of you may already know that on July 20th, I will be traveling to a village about 45 minutes south of Chennai, India, called Kondamangalam to visit an orphanage called the Little Flock Children’s Homes.

Nineteen of us will spend two weeks teaching English in the village school, teaching a Bible class at night, doing arts, crafts and games with the kids, and generally reaching out to help about 100 orphaned children find a happier life.

I wish you all could go with me, but since you can’t, here’s how you can help! The orphanage is in desperate need of a few small items to run its outreach:

Hotel/Motel-Sized Soaps and Shampoos
Toothpaste
Talcum Powder
Children’s Vitamins
Cotton Handkerchiefs
Twin-Sized Pillowcases

If you can send any of these items, please mail them prior to July 10th to

Calvary Church
16330 Los Gatos Blvd,
Los Gatos, CA 95032
Attn: India GOTeam.

Alternatively, if you would like to sponsor a child or support the orphanage with a direct financial contribution, check out the Little Flock website!

(I love heat and humidity, I love heat and humidity, I love heat and humidity…)

Haha, you just keep telling yourself that! :)

That is so awesome that you get to go do that!!! Get to? Yeah, that works. I know it’s no *vacation* but what a great opportunity!

I’m not going to lie - I am horrible about mailing things. But I have some of that stuff at home anyway, so I will try to get a small package out in time.
